Afriknot Vendor Terms & Conditions

  1. The Nature of Our Service

Afriknot.com is an online marketplace that facilitates connections between couples (Users) and wedding service providers (Vendors).

  • The Connector Role: Afriknot provides the platform only. We do not provide wedding services, we do not employ vendors, and we are not an agent for any vendor.
  • No Endorsement: A listing on Afriknot does not constitute a guarantee of quality. We provide the space; the Vendors provide the service.
  1. Mandatory Booking Policy

To maintain the integrity of our marketplace and provide protection for both parties:

  • Direct Booking: All initial inquiries and bookings originating from Afriknot must be processed through the Afriknot.com platform.
  • Circumvention: Any attempt by a Vendor to bypass the platform (e.g., asking a client to pay directly via cash or private bank transfer to avoid platform fees) may result in immediate account suspension and a permanent ban from the marketplace.
  1. Payment & Commissions
  • Payment Processing: Afriknot may collect payments/deposits on behalf of the Vendor. Funds will be released to the Vendor minus our agreed-upon commission fee within [ 7] days after the successful completion of the event.
  • Taxes: Vendors are solely responsible for calculating and paying any local taxes (VAT, etc.) applicable to their services.
  1. Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Vendor Responsibility: Each Vendor is required to clearly state their own cancellation policy on their listing.
  • Afriknot’s Role in Disputes: If a Vendor fails to show up or cancels a booking, the Vendor is legally obligated to refund the User according to their stated policy.
  • Refund Authority: Afriknot reserves the right to withhold or reverse payments to a Vendor if a service was clearly not delivered as described.
  1. Limitation of Liability (The “No Responsibility” Clause)

Afriknot.com, its directors, and employees shall not be held liable for:

  • Any disputes, claims, losses, injuries, or damages of any kind that might arise out of or relate to the conduct of Vendors or Users.
  • The quality, safety, or legality of the services advertised.
  • The truth or accuracy of the listings.
  • Any “Acts of God” (weather, strikes, etc.) that affect a wedding event.

By using this site, the Vendor agrees to indemnify Afriknot against any legal action arising from the Vendor’s service.

  1. Content & Copyright
  • Accuracy: Vendors must provide truthful descriptions and high-quality images of their own
  • Stolen Images: Using images of work that the Vendor did not perform is strictly prohibited. If reported, the listing will be removed immediately.
  1. Code of Conduct

Vendors must respond to inquiries within [48 hours]. Failure to maintain a professional standard of communication may result in a lower search ranking or removal from the platform.
